Modern Christmas Cards | Holiday Card Series Day 2

It's day two of my Holiday card series and today I'm sharing some modern Christmas cards and a coordinating tag! These were created entirely with various embossing powders, so no coloring was involved! I went with a gorgeous red, grey, white and gold color scheme. Unintentionally, my cards and tag ended up looking quite masculine and modern . I love how they turned out, what do you think? Let me know in the comments!

Once again, I created three projects with the same general design. The only real difference across them all are the backgrounds and the card base sizes. My first card is a square one (5.25x5.25"). I used a red tone on tone pattern paper from my stash for the background. The trees, sentiment and cardinals are all from a Gina K. designs stamp set called Christmas Silhouettes. I gold heat embossed two trees on white card stock. I red glitter heat embossed one tree on dark grey card stock. Using the same red glitter embossing powder, I embossed my sentiment and cardinal birds on white card stock. Once I finished this card, I really felt like it had a beautiful masculine look to it, so I decided not to embellish it further.
Here's the A2 version of my last card. The three embossed trees didn't work for this size of card, so I decided to die cut two skinny trees by Memory Box to go behind my main gold heat embossed tree. The background was created with the capital font sentiments that came in the stamp set. I lined up all of the sentiments side by side in my Misti and stamped them out with Versamark ink. Once the entire background was stamped, I clear heat embossed everything. This panel was cut to (3.75x5")
I figured after spending the time to line up all those small sentiments in my Misti, that I might as well stamp an extra background to create a coordinating tag. For this background, I white heat embossed everything. I then die cut a tag from the heat embossed background. The die cut tree on the tag is another one by Memory box. I went with an all grey sentiment for this one to tie in the grey color across all three projects. I love this modern elegant color scheme for Christmas!

Pop up Box Card

This gorgeous pop up box card was the inspiration behind the three designs I created today. I created this card with my new A7 pop up box die set! I have 4 of these available for purchase!
