With the Classic Horror collection, Scrappy Tails is focusing on some iconic and classic horror/ Halloween books, that have stood the test of time. We have created cover plates to celebrate these classics. These cover plates are just a tad smaller than a standard A7 card size (5x7 inches) to leave just a small decorative border around your card front panel. These cover plates are also specifically designed to work with Scrappy Tails Crafts best selling and most beloved A7 Pop Up Book Metal Craft Die. If you own our A7 Pop up Book, these cover plates are a must have addition to your collection. If you are new to our pop up books (which includes a very cool interior shadow box), then we would love to invite you to check out our many tutorials on how to create these amazing pop up book cards. They are amazing, because while they are dimensional, they can also still fold flat for mailing as a unique and extraordinary card!

The Frankenstein cover plate of course focuses on Frankenstein and includes a comic book style front cover plate. It shows a compilation of important Frankenstein imagery, to include Frankenstein himself. You can layer him up with incredible detail. Also included is his castle with a little cobblestone road leading up to the castle set up in the distance. There is also a big diagonally oriented banner that reads Frankenstein in all capital letters and below that, you can see a small lab cupboard with some elixir bottles on the shelf. Then just to the left of the cupboard, you can find the iconic “operating table”, where the magic happened and Frankenstein came back to life. You can see the intricate machinery that infused him with electricity and started his old heart ticking again. The amount of detail on this edge to edge (huge!) cover plate is immense. There are so many intricate layers. It is so much fun to see this cover plate come to life just like Frankenstein did as well. This die set is so big that you will be receiving two very large sheets of metal dies. This is by far the biggest and most intricate cover plate die, we have ever designed and it is poised to sell out quickly. Don’t delay in purchasing this amazing set.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
