The “Skiscape Add-On Metal Craft Die” is an add-on die for the Birch Tree Tunnel Series. It is a good sized (quite literally) “cool” add-on die set (pun intended), which includes a skiing scene complete with a downhill slope and a cross country skier, a cool ski lift, complete with three gondolas, downhill slopes, slalom flags that you can dress up in your favorite colors etc. to create your own ski resort with this set and to really set it off - the set includes two detailed larger dies to create the backdrop to your skiing paradise. There are two “wings” of mountain ranges at two different heights to create a tall alpine skiing mountain scene and then the very cool skiers can go straight down hill or ski cross country through the little included trees and tree accent lines. The mountain backdrops also have different layering pieces that allow you to create white and gray and icy snow peaks etc. Use the glue tabs on the mountain line die cuts to attach your panels onto the Birch Tree tunnel or to attach them to your favorite trifold design as well. Some paper piecing/ paper layering is required to create some extra interest and dimension on your die cuts. The main images would also look pretty as a focal point on a standard flat A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch) notecard sized card or be a substantial addition to adorn your A7 (5 x 7 inch) sized cards. The add-on set is a great way to create interest in your tunnel cards by creating lovely scenes and these images are also a great size to use in combination with last year’s trifold cards as well.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
