This die set is a good sized Bonsai tree that we felt was complimenting our Japanese/ Asian inspired scene building with our “Good Fortune” collection. The tree definitely is a focal point in your tunnel cards (as seen in our photos of our card samples). It is not quite large enough to be the center focal point off an A7 sized card and might need a little support of another card element, but is definitely a focal point on an A2 sized card and an awesome addition on the center drop down of your trifold cards.

Similar to our koi fish - who are definitely the “Stars of our Good Fortune collection”, Bonsai trees stand for good fortune, tranquility, resilience, strength, longevity, patience, balance, friendship & loyalty, peace & harmony. Together, we felt that they make wonderful images for some of those cards that are sometimes more difficult to send out, the cards where we try to let friends and family know that we are here for them, that we want them to be strong in the difficult times that they are in, that we want to help them overcome their challenges for a better future. A “get better soon” card does not always fit the bill, but a card that conveys that I am here for you as your loyal friend for the long haul and that you can lean on me for strength, balance and support - those things are meaningful. We hope that you may find some images in this collection and maybe a pretty sentiment or two in the “Good fortune” stamp set that you may like as inspiration for your next maybe a little more challenging/ sensitive card project. - Hopefully our little Bonsai Tree may help you write some of those more difficult cards. 

An absolutely beautiful sentiment is included with your bonsai tree, which reads in a lovely font the following: “Wishing you comfort and strength for the days ahead”. A matching shadow layer is also included for your die cut sentiment.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
