Product Description:

You asked us for more Trifold add-ons for our super popular Trifold Base Pop Up Card, which released back in October 2024. You also asked us for some new scene building dies that you can stretch and incorporate into other pop up products by Scrappy Tails Crafts as well. We build you the ultimate Waterfall Koi Pond Trifold Scene. It is a massive die- so large that we had to put it on two die sheets for you, but we think you will absolutely love all the details that we included. Our three layer waterfall is 6 1/2 inches tall and your entire back side of your card is just that one image - the waterfall. You will be building up a very tall mountainous scene with boulders, hills (you can make those hills grassy or boulders if you like) with some vegetation on it including different sized plants, trees, Bonsai trees, and a couple aquatic plants. This waterfall is definitely ready to be embellished by loads more layers of rocks, rock formations, and more plants of different textures. This would also make for a great cover plate for your flat card projects as well. The die does include a matching shadow layer - so that you have a clean backside for your finished card.

Please note: The little koi fish miniatures that you see in the colored image on this posting here are not included with this die. They are sold separately, and are called “Mini Koi Fish Metal Craft Die”. Of course they would be an amazing addition to this set. Also sold separately are the matching side- wings, which give you a glance at the waterfall at the lower levels of the waterfall and attach to the back of the main image.

The die set is very intricate and you will have many small layering pieces to glue on top of each other. Having a fast and clear drying glue (with an extra fine tip applicator!) is a must and having a pair of tweezers (the best once are reverse tweezers!) nearby is definitely helpful. The end result is absolutely worth it. Make sure you sign your name on this project, because every piece of art deserves to be signed by the artist, who created it. These waterfalls are artfully designed masterpieces.

We will be sharing technique tutorials and many beautiful interactive pop up cards, tunnel shadow box cards and other gorgeous 3D card design samples on our YouTube channel and our design team is also ready to create some fabulous tunnel pop ups, trifolds and other interactive cards this year- so please keep your eye open on our social media and on our “Scrappy Tails Crafters” Facebook fan page.

Directions for metal craft die use:

  1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
  2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
  3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
  4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
  5. Share your beautiful projects with us at #scrappytailscrafts
